Impotence in men

Impotence (erectile dysfunction) and the facts.

Impotence is the inability to achieve and maintain a firm erection that is satisfactory for sexual intercourse. The condition is very common and affects 1 in10 men who are over 21. Although one of the commonest causes is age, it can affect young men too. One thing is for sure, if you start worrying about having an erection, it can become harder to achieve one.

Malformed or damaged genitalia.

If you suffer from impotence, don’t just sit their thinking your weird, go and see your doctor for a short examination and some blood tests. The problem of impotence can easily be solved by understanding the process of sexual arousal and overcoming the anxiety of ‘performance that is commonly associated with erectile dysfunction in young men with no related medical problems.

The introduction of (sildenafil) Viagra, has transformed the treatment of impotence and is used in many situations. the pill is taken about an hour before you have sex, but will not produce an erection unless you are sexually stimulated. It may not always be available on the NHS, but the pills are not hugely expensive and may be very helpful.
